Location: Isle of Wight

Hours: 40 hours per week (5.00am/6.00 a.m. - 1.30pm/2.30 p.m.)

Days: 5 days from 7 on a rota basis

Duration: Temporary, ongoing (may be temp to perm for the right candidate)

Duties:

  • Driving set routes, vehicle checks and reporting maintenance.
  • Street sweeping and use of pedestrian barrow.
  • Litter picking and removal of debris.
  • Emptying rubbish bins including dog waste.
  • Clearing gutters, gullies and weeding where required.
  • Graffiti and gum removal where required.
  • Manual handling, maintaining equipment and reporting repairs.

Experience:

  • Must be physically fit due to nature of tasks and have a good understanding of health and safety.
  • Must be happy to work outdoors and walk long distances with good knowledge of the Island.
  • Must be able to work well to instruction, on own initiative as well as part of a small team with attention to detail.
  • Must have a full driver's licence and be over 25 due to insurance purposes, Cat C1 license is preferred.

Salary: £12.21 per hour worked. (overtime over 40 hours paid at x 1.33)
