General Production Operative

Industry: Manufacturing

Location: Ryde

Hours: 8am - 4.45pm, Mon - Thu, 8am - 2.45pm Fri

Days: Monday - Friday

Duration: Permanent

Duties:

  • Working across a variety of departments within the factory
  • Operation of machinery, power and hand tools
  • Working to technical specifications, quality standards, established procedures and manufacturing schedules
  • Collecting materials and equipment
  • Selecting, fabricating or modifying components to measurements and specifications
  • Align and assemble parts to build complex units
  • Report issues, malfunction or defective parts

Experience:

  • Must have previous fabrication manufacturing or engineering experience with the ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good hand to eye coordination and manual dexterity with the ability to use hand tools and machinery
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well on own, to instructions and deadlines, as well as part of a team

Salary: Β£11.44 per hour starting salary, to be reviewed after training/probation period
