Duties:
- Working as part of a small team, collecting domestic waste and recycling
- Vehicle checks and reporting faults and defects
- Safely navigating island roads, on specified routes and adherence to schedules
- Collecting and replacing residential and trade bins
- Loading and operating machinery, when required
- Operate a Bartec tablet for route navigation, job logging and reporting
- Adherence to health and safety, highways and driving regulations
Training: Training for this role will include loading duties, to train in the operation of the equipment.
Experience:
- Must have valid Class 2 (Category C) Drivers licence, CPC (Driver Qualification Card) and Tachograph (Driver Card)
- Must be able to work well as part of a team and be physically fit, due to nature of duties, including the ability to walk for distances in all weathers and support operational tasks beyond driving
- Must have a good knowledge of the Island’s road network
- Must have own transport due to the location of the depot
- Must be flexible with working hours
Salary: £14.03 per hour worked, overtime paid at time and a third over 42.5 hours per week
