Street Cleansing Operative / HGV Driver
Industry: Civil Engineering
Location: Isle of Wight
Hours: 40 hours per week: 6.00am - 2.30pm.
Days: Monday - Sunday on a rota basis
Duration: Temporary ongoing
Responsibilities
- Safe operation of plant including left‑hand drive road sweepers, working to planned routes and schedules.
- Vehicle checks, basic maintenance and reporting defects.
- Road sweeping, litter picking and removal of debris.
- Adherence to health and safety and highways regulations.
- Emptying public rubbish bins including dog waste.
- Weed removal, clearing pavements, paths, drains and gullies of green waste.
- Gum and graffiti removal.
Experience / Qualifications
- Must have full clean HGV driver's licence and a good awareness of health and safety.
- Must be physically fit due to nature of duties.
- Must be able to work well as part of a team and on own initiative.
Salary
£13.50 per hour worked
