General Worker/ Factory Operative Industry: Manufacturing Location: Ryde, Isle of Wight Hours: 38 hours per week Days: Monday - Friday Duration: Permanent Duties: Supporting operations within manufacturing departments: Take incoming goods and materials, quality check and update computerised stock control system. Search and locate requested stock items, supply to the shop floor. Pick items and move materials and products around the factory using pallet trucks and by hand. Move packaged products to delivery area and load onto delivery vehicles. Ensure adherence to schedules, health and safety and quality standards. Experience: Must have previously worked with metallic materials within a manufacturing environment. Must be able to undertake manual handling duties and follow instructions. Must have good communications skills and work well as part of a team. Must have a basic level of computer literacy and good organisational skills.
