Driver / Street Cleansing Operative

- Hours: 40 hours per week (13.30 – 22.00)
- Days: 5 days from 7 on a rota basis (including weekends, with 2 consecutive days off)
- Duration: Temporary, ongoing
Duties
- Vehicle checks and reporting maintenance
- Emptying public rubbish bins including dog waste
- Manual handling and working to schedules/routes
- Litter picking
- Clearing pavements, paths, drains and gullies of green waste
- Weed removal
- Gum and graffiti removal
- Adherence to health and safety and highways regulations
Experience & Qualifications
- Full clean driver's licence with a good knowledge of Isle of Wight road network
- Awareness of health and safety
- Physical fitness to undertake manual handling
- Ability to work well as part of a team and on own initiative in all weathers
Salary
- £12.71 per hour worked 13.30 – 18.00, 18.30 – 22.00 £16.90 per hour worked
