W&P Partners Legal Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected and long-established regional law firm on the appointment of a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join its successful Corporate & Commercial Department based in Kent. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced corporate/commercial lawyer looking to move into a strategic knowledge role, or an established PSL seeking a fresh challenge within a progressive and collaborative firm.
You will play a key role in supporting fee earners, driving best practice, enhancing legal know-how, and contributing to the continued success of a thriving commercial team.
The OpportunityWorking closely with the Head of Department and senior stakeholders, you will provide professional support across the Corporate & Commercial team by developing systems, processes, precedents, and training initiatives that strengthen technical excellence and commercial delivery. You will also help shape the department’s business plan, support lawyers with technical queries, and ensure the team remains ahead of legal and market developments.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will play a central role in supporting the Corporate & Commercial team through the development and management of precedents, templates, guidance notes, checklists, and other know-how resources, while keeping lawyers informed of legal, regulatory, and market developments. Responsibilities will include producing internal briefings and client-facing updates, supporting legal technology and innovation projects, and assisting with compliance-related documentation. You will also contribute to the training and development of the team through the design and delivery of internal programmes, lawyer induction, coaching, and collaboration with Learning & Development and HR. In addition, you will support business development initiatives through articles, newsletters, seminars, events, and client relationship activities, while helping drive process improvements, consistency, efficiency, and the wider strategic growth of the department.
About YouApplications are welcomed from qualified solicitors with strong experience in Corporate, Commercial and/or Banking & Finance matters who are looking to move into, or continue within, a PSL / knowledge lawyer role. You will ideally offer:
