A well-established and highly regarded law firm in Kent, recognised for their expertise in corporate law is seeking an experienced Corporate Law Partner. With a strong presence in the region, the firm offers strategic support across a broad spectrum of corporate transactions and advisory matters.
The Firm\’s Clients include private limited companies, entrepreneurs, family businesses, owner-managed businesses of all sizes, and UK subsidiaries of major foreign corporations. The Corporate Partner will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, becoming an integral part of their business advisory team.
Role Overview:
This is a leadership role requiring a highly skilled corporate solicitor with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, commercial contracts, and corporate structuring. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of advising businesses on complex transactions and providing strategic legal guidance that supports their commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage corporate transactions, ensuring seamless execution from due diligence to completion.
- Advise clients on mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, joint ventures, shareholders agreements, and bespoke articles of association.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, buybacks, share option schemes, and restructuring agreements.
- Provide expert guidance on partnership and limited liability partnership matters.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and deliver strategic, practical legal advice.
- Mentor and develop junior lawyers within the team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Play an active role in business development and contribute to the continued growth of the corporate law department.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Qualified solicitor with significant post-qualification experience in corporate law.
- Strong expertise in mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, restructuring, and commercial contracts.
- Experience in advising on shareholder agreements, share schemes, joint ventures, and succession planning.
- Proven ability to manage high-value and complex transactions.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
