W&P Partners Legal Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded London-based commercial law firm on the appointment of a Property Litigation Associate (3–5 PQE) to join its growing Real Estate Disputes team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and ambitious lawyer to join a collaborative and forward-thinking firm with an excellent reputation across the real estate sector. The firm acts for a broad range of clients including developers, investors, landlords, and tenants, both domestically and internationally, delivering tailored and strategic legal solutions.
Role Overview:
You will become a key member of a thriving Property Litigation team, advising on a broad range of contentious commercial and residential property matters. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced senior lawyers while also taking ownership of their own caseload and building strong client relationships. The role will include advising on matters such as:
- Commercial and residential landlord & tenant disputes
- Real estate and development contract disputes
- Property insolvency matters
- Rights of way, adverse possession, and restrictive covenant disputes
- Drafting and serving statutory and contractual notices
- Preparing pleadings, witness statements, and litigation documents
- Conducting legal research and advising on litigation strategy
- Reviewing and analysing Land Registry title documentation
- Liaising with Counsel and courts, including attendance at hearings
- Supporting mediation and dispute resolution processes
- Managing chargeable time and assisting with billing responsibilities
- Participating in business development initiatives and networking events
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate

The Property Litigation team forms part of a well-established wider Property department and works closely with colleagues across the firm to deliver a seamless service to clients. Candidate Requirements:
- 3–5 years’ PQE in Property Litigation gained within private practice
- Strong experience handling landlord & tenant and broader real estate disputes
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- A personable and collaborative approach with clients and colleagues
- Enthusiastic attitude towards business development and networking
- Strong IT proficiency and ability to adapt to new systems quickly
