W&P Partners Recruitment is acting on behalf of a major international investment group to appoint a Corporate Legal Counsel to its London legal team. This role is ideal for a corporate lawyer seeking an in-house position close to commercial decision-making within an international portfolio.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- 1–3 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE)
- Trained at a leading City or international law firm with corporate/M&A experience
- Strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and commercial mindset
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Handle acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and strategic investments from structuring and due diligence to completion
- Manage shareholder agreements, investment documentation, and JV partner relationships
- Handle corporate governance, board matters, subsidiary management, and group restructurings
- Instruct and manage external counsel on specialist issues and transactions
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements supporting the group's businesses
