As a Brand Sales Manager, you will partner with and support our Small and Medium Business Account Managers. You'll help drive team performance through coaching, development, and guidance throughout the sales lifecycle. In this role, you will lead the sale of WP Engine solutions to SMB customers using a consultative, solution‑based sales approach.
This is an established division of sales for WP Engine. As the brand manager, you will help ignite and scale our existing sales program by leading and encouraging a team of Brand Account Managers, owning the day‑to‑day sales operations. Your insights and experience will be key to driving the performance of our team. In this role, you would mentor, coach, recruit, and hire today's team and the next generation of Brand Account Managers.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Take operational leadership over the SMB + MM Brand Account Management Team.
- Coach, lead, and develop a team of 6+ SMB + MM Executives, including weekly 1‑on‑1s and ongoing training and development.
- Evaluate current processes and find opportunities to improve.
- Contribute to the strategy and vision for the Agency business segment.
- Build an amazing team culture within the sales team.
- Lead a winning team that overachieves sales and management objectives.
- Develop a plan for the next phase of growth for the business unit with the right economics for financial success.
Qualifications & Experience
- Current sales management experience and/or 2 years of direct team sales management expertise.
- Confirmed individual contributor experience in successfully selling through an indirect channel.
- Experience in building and executing a growth and retention strategy.
- Ability to deliver the value proposition to clients of all sizes.
- Experience in developing and executing go‑to‑market strategies to develop mutually beneficial leads.
