Your Mission:
The Merchandising team at Wowcher is responsible for compiling the business’ online shop using both qualitative and quantitative data to ensure the most appropriate products display on-site. By assessing which categories and product areas should deliver the most revenue for the company in the medium to long term, the Merchandising team will provide insight to Sales teams to enable changes in consumer habits and seasonality to be met.
Responsibilities Include:
- Analysing data and performance, at category and sub-category level and able to draw conclusion and actions from findings.
- Reviewing trade performance weekly and able to propose opportunity for coming weeks as well as identify risk and ways to mitigate.
- Provide seasonal and annual summaries and lessons learnt across key categories and propose strategic actions to better performance for future trade.
- Able to work with large bodies of data and deliver summary and insight in a format that is clear for all to understand and take action from.
- Good presentational skills, both verbal and digitally and comfortable presenting findings to small groups.
- Understanding what levers to pull to better category or deal performance, working with sales to put such actions into work.
- Ensure the Goods website pages are full of in season and in demand products
- Work closely with all members of the merchandising team to ensure alignment across Goods focuses.
- Analyse Wowcher website vs competitors and the rest of the marketplace and make suggestions to innovate and improve ways of working.
- Work with the marketing team to ensure exposure on key themes and products, aligning with the overall goods monthly and seasonal plan.
Key Skills
- Degree or previous experience in a relevant sector
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools (e.g. excel) is beneficial
- Ability to analyse data sets in order to arrive at logical conclusions
- Experience in tools such as SQL and Power Bi useful but not essential
- Ability to multitask and respond to ad-hoc data requests whilst taking care of ongoing tasks / projects
- Ability to prioritise and maintain composure when challenged by others within the business
