Your Role:
Wowcher is looking to hire a Commercial Finance Analyst to join its finance team. As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will work closely with the Director of Commercial Finance to analyse and prepare financial data, provide valuable insights, and inform strategic decision making in the business. It is a role that is truly integrated within the business – you will need to build strong relationships with non‑finance stakeholders across Marketing, Goods, Services, Technology, Business Intelligence, and with the Executive team.
Main Responsibilities and duties:
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of weekly flash trading and KPI reports to deliver insight to the Executive Management Team
- Drive strategic initiatives through well thought out analysis, including modelling the financial impact of business decisions and investments
- Prepare materials and high‑quality PPT presentations for Board Meetings, Shareholders and other key stakeholders
- Analyse the cost base regularly to understand key drivers and note any areas of potential operational efficiency
- Prepare monthly sales targets and form a view of EBITDA out‑turn
- Commercial Finance business partner across the Group, including understanding and monitoring the KPIs that are important to different senior stakeholders
- Ad‑hoc analysis for the Finance Director and CEO
Technical Skills Required:
- Previous business Partnering/Commercial Finance/Strategy/Transactions Services experience
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint
- Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA etc.) – desired but not essential
Soft Skills Required:
- Planning: Able to manage multiple streams of work, sometimes working under tight deadlines to produce high‑standard deliverables
- Commercial: Understand the implications and trade‑offs involved in particular business decisions
- Logical: Working with large datasets, you will be comfortable with some ambiguity and apply a structured, methodical approach to analysis
- Building relationships: Ability to build strong relations through effective communication across key stakeholders and ability to influence across the business
- Challenging the status quo: Going above and beyond to deliver results that will have a direct impact on the business
