Location: Kentish Town (Embrace the office vibes – 4 days a week!)

The Merchandising department at Wowcher is responsible for achieving key business targets through the tracking and analysis of performance and collaboration across departments. As a team we will optimise sales, provide insight to Sales and Management and lead on strategic decision making.

The Assistant Merchandiser supports the Merchandiser with day-to-day analysis and helps identify opportunities to improve performance across the business. They will work closely with the sales team to address any gaps and support commercial decisions. This role is well suited to someone who is confident and commercially astute, keen to learn, able to work independently when needed and comfortable using their initiative with guidance and support from the Merchandiser.

  • Gap Analysis & Sales Direction
  • Provides direction to the sales team on gaps in our offer and holds the team to account until secured and live onsite.
  • Provides adhoc analysis and utilises findings to assist sales in acquiring new business.
  • Competitor analysis and providing product and new business target lists for sales to acquire new business.
  • Analyses key deal structures that work well for Wowcher and provide feedback to roll out successes across the business.
  • Supporting Merchandiser/Junior Merchandiser in adhoc tasks and analysis.
  • Owns the Ireland market providing data insight to support the ongoing growth of this sector.
  • Prepares and presents in the Ireland trade meeting giving an overview of performance and providing short- and long-term actions for the wider team.
  • Aligns with the UK seasonal campaign strategy and ensures key activities are well represented in terms of offer and site merchandising.
  • Onsite Performance
  • Monitoring site performance and conversion throughout the user journey, identifying any issues or risk that could hinder conversion.
  • Works closely with SEO to identify trending search terms to ensure fitting products are included in target product to sales and made available to our customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools (e.g. excel).
  • Ability to analyse data sets in order to arrive at logical conclusions.
  • Experience in tools such as SQL and Power Bi is useful but not essential.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask, responding to ad-hoc data requests whilst taking care of ongoing tasks/projects.
