Join the Wowcher Team – We\’re Hiring an Online Merchandiser! Location: London (Embrace the office vibes – 4 days a week!). Wowcher is a leading UK deals platform established in 2011. We partner with brands including Graze, Build-a-Bear Workshop, Odeon, Fitness First, Diet Chef, Very.co.uk, PrettyLittleThing, Random House, EasyJet and Ocado. Your Mission: The Merchandising/Analysis team compiles the business’ online shop window using qualitative and quantitative data to select deals to display on-site. By assessing which offerings should deliver the most revenue in the medium to long term, the team provides insights to Sales and Management to meet changing consumer preferences and seasonal changes. The Online Merchandiser will ensure relevant website pages are optimised to maximise profit opportunities and support the administrative tasks required to get a deal live from signing.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Goods website pages are merchandised in the most profitable, visually appealing way and reflect seasonal focuses.
- Focus on listing optimisation on key deals to improve conversion, including highlighting key selling points and updating images.
- Collaborate with the analysis team to align Goods focuses.
- Analyse conversion and click-through rates of deals to identify performance and suggest price adjustments.
- Analyse Wowcher website vs competitors and the broader marketplace; propose innovations and improvements in ways of working.
- Keep tiles up to date with seasonal focuses; proactively update based on performance.
- Work with design to create enticing tiles and banners for the website.
- Monitor performance on guide pages and keep these up to date to maximise revenue.
- Work closely with the SEO team to strategise the customer journey to deals on category pages.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to push key deals requiring increased exposure.
- Balance deal exposure onsite to maximise revenue while keeping content engaging for the consumer.
Qualifications
- Degree or previous experience in a relevant sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools (e.g. Excel) is beneficial.
- Ability to analyse data sets to arrive at logical conclusions.
- Experience with SQL and Power BI is useful but not essential.
- Ability to multitask and respond to ad-hoc data requests while managing ongoing tasks.
- Ability to prioritise and maintain composure when challenged by others within the business.
- Attention to detail, analytical mindset, commercial acumen, and good communication skills.
