We are a newly established e-commerce business (under 12 months old) with strong early traction, looking for a hands-on SEO & PPC Specialist to help scale our digital growth. While our primary focus is our e-commerce website, we also operate a physical retail counter, and search plays a key role in driving both online sales and in-store visits. This is an on-site, full-time role based in New Romney, Kent, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with a growing team and taking ownership in an early-stage business.
You will be responsible for building on already successful Google campaigns, while developing a sustainable long-term SEO strategy.
Key Responsibilities- SEO (Website & Local Focus): Develop and execute an SEO strategy for a growing e-commerce website; Conduct keyword research focused on product, category, and high-intent searches; Optimise product pages, category pages, collections, and supporting content; Implement technical SEO best practices (site structure, page speed, mobile optimisation, schema); Improve local search visibility for our retail counter (Google Business Profile, local keywords, reviews); Monitor organic traffic, rankings, and revenue using GA4 and Google Search Console.
- PPC (Scaling What Works): Take ownership of existing Google Ads campaigns and build on their current success; Optimise and scale paid search, Shopping, and Performance Max campaigns; Improve ROAS, CPA, and revenue through continuous testing and optimisation; Write and test ad copy, keywords, audiences, and product feeds; Manage budgets efficiently to maximise return; Familiarity with SEMrush or similar SEO tools for research, tracking, and performance insights.
- Analytics & Optimisation: Maintain accurate conversion tracking for online purchases and relevant in-store actions; Analyse performance data to uncover growth opportunities; Deliver clear, actionable performance reports focused on revenue and ROI.
- Proven experience managing SEO and PPC for e-commerce websites.
- Strong working knowledge of Google Ads and search marketing best practices.
- Experience optimising existing campaigns rather than starting from scratch.
- Hands-on experience with GA4 and Google Search Console.
- Ability to work independently in an early-stage, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Google Merchant Centre and Shopping feeds.
- Understanding of CRO, UX, and checkout optimisation.
