Woven is a seed-stage fintech building the data infrastructure that's been missing from UK financial advice. Our platform helps advisers uncover the savings hidden in their clients' portfolios - often thousands of pounds per client in fees - as part of our wider mission to save UK investors over £7 billion a year. We give advisers a single, normalised view of their book through Woven Analytics, and we're already partnered with around 30% of the UK platform market.

This role sits at the heart of how that works. You'll own the pipelines that power the platform - turning messy, fragmented data from across the industry into clean, connected datasets advisers can trust. A big part of the job is automation: replacing repetitive manual imports and exports with streamlined workflows that scale. You'll work closely with our Head of Data, the development team and clients, and your work will directly shape the product and the company's future. It's a rare chance to join at the ground floor and build something that matters.

What you'll do

  • Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines for cleansing, transformation and integration
  • Automate data imports and exports to cut operational overhead and improve accuracy
  • Build integrations with financial advice platforms, CRMs and external data providers, via APIs, SFTP, flat files and more
  • Connect to and integrate with client-owned data warehouses, ingesting and transforming data to power our platform
  • Implement automation and best practice for data validation, governance and security

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience as a data engineer or analyst, ideally in financial services or a similarly regulated industry
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational / MySQL databases
  • Experience with Snowflake, including connecting to and integrating with external instances, data sharing and secure ingestion
  • Solid programming skills, with a track record of automating repetitive data tasks
  • Familiarity with APIs, flat files, SFTP and other data transfer methods
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS preferred)
  • A start-up mindset - adaptable, curious, and excited by building something new

Why this role

Clean, connected data is the thing everything else at Woven depends on, and you'll own it. Your pipelines are what let advisers find real savings for their clients, so the better your work, the bigger the impact. It's a high-trust, high-impact role at an early-stage company, with the room to shape how we build.
