What you'll be doing...
- Set up conference rooms, meeting spaces, and event areas according to client requirements and room plans
- Arranged tables, chairs, staging, linens, and presentation equipment for meetings and events
- Prepared audiovisual equipment including projectors, screens, microphones, and flip charts
- Ensured all event spaces were clean, organised, and ready before guest arrival
- Assisted with room turnarounds between meetings and events to maintain smooth operations
- Liaised with the conference and events team to ensure all setup requirements were completed on time
- Monitored event spaces during functions and responded quickly to any changes or additional requests
- Supported the breakdown and clearing of event spaces after functions and meetings
- Maintained health and safety standards while handling equipment and furniture setup
- Delivered professional customer service to guests, delegates, and event organisers at Wotton House Hotel
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Previous experience in hospitality, events, or customer service is desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- A positive attitude with excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required
- Ability to lift and move event equipment and furniture safely
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and manner
- Willingness to provide excellent customer service and support guests throughout events
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt quickly to changing event requirements
- Enthusiastic and motivated with a proactive approach to work
