A Day in the Life of a Guest Service Assistant at Our Hotel
What you'll be doing...
- Provide a warm, professional welcome and ensure smooth, efficient check-ins and check-outs
- Support the Reception Manager in the day-to-day leadership of the Reception team
- Oversee reservations, room allocations, guest requests, and accurate guest records
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries in person, by phone, and via email
- Take ownership of guest feedback, resolving concerns with empathy and responding to reviews in a timely, thoughtful way
- Liaise closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, and Events to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Process payments accurately and uphold hotel standards, policies, and brand values at all times
- Lead, coach, and motivate the Guest Services team, always leading by example.
What We Need From You
- Experience in a Front Office or Guest Services leadership role within a hotel environment
- A welcoming, people-focused personality who genuinely enjoys connecting with guests and making their day brighter
- Strong communication skills, confident engaging with guests and working closely with colleagues across the hotel
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when managing guest needs, reservations, and follow-up
- A calm, solutions-driven approach with the ability to think on your feet and handle challenges positively
- A strong team player who is happy to step in wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly
- High energy and adaptability, thriving in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends
