Electrical Engineer
Salary: £60,000 to £64,300 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours: 40 hours per week 7.30am to 4.00pm
Location: DY10 4JD
Severn Waste Services (an FCC Company) is the public face of municipal waste management in Worcestershire and Herefordshire. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join our friendly team at our Hartlebury Energy from Waste facility.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will report to the facility Maintenance Manager and lead the Electrical team in delivering a range of planned and reactive electrical testing and maintenance, to meet the challenging and demanding environment of the Energy from Waste facility.

What will you be doing?
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all electrical designs
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source necessary electrical components
- Provide technical support and guidance to the electrical technicians and wider business
- Contribute to our positive Health & Safety culture by maintaining a safe working environment
What are we looking for?
- A qualified electrical engineer, holding a minimum of a Higher National Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of five years relevant experience post-qualification
- Broad experience of process electrical systems including high and low voltage
- Experience and knowledge with Electrical Driven Actuators and Motors
- Experience of managing multiple contractors and maintenance contracts
- Experience of managing a team
- Microsoft Office expertise, particularly Excel and Word
- Excellent interpersonal communication and listening skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Sound numerical reasoning
- A Levels or equivalent, with tertiary qualifications considered desirable, particularly with a focus on engineering-related disciplines
