Salary: £12,698.40 – £14,466.40
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10am – 2pm
Location: Greatmoor EFW, HP18 0AF
As a part-time EfW Receptionist at FCC Environment, you will be the welcoming face of our site, ensuring all visitors and staff are signed in, supported, and provided with a professional front-of-house experience. You\’ll manage the reception desk, coordinate access to site facilities, and carry out essential administrative tasks to support smooth site operations.
This vacancy is for a part-time position.

What will you be doing?
- Managing the reception desk and main entrance turnstile gate
- Signing in and accounting for all visitors/staff to maintain accurate evacuation records
- Delivering health and safety inductions and issuing passes
- Handling incoming deliveries, mail, and provisions
- Acting as first point of contact for telephone and email enquiries
- Providing administrative support to the site and Line Manager
- Maintaining daily visitor diaries and handover logs
- Coordinating site facilities, meeting room bookings, and refreshments
- Ordering stationery, cleaning products, and updating noticeboards
- Ensuring the reception area is tidy, welcoming, and professionally presented
About You – What Are We Looking For?
- Experience in administration within a busy, multi-functional office
- Strong customer service or front-of-house background
- Good telephone manner and IT skills
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise workload
- Professional, approachable, and adaptable with a positive can-do attitude
Experience in the waste management industry is not essential; full training will be provided.
