As an EC&I Technician, you will provide day to day EC&I maintenance and breakdown activity and thus deliver into an ethos of maximum plant reliability, flexibility, availability and overall plant performance whilst attaining high standards of Quality, Health Safety & Environmental performance. You will support the management and practical application of fault finding, repair and maintenance associated to electrical/control systems and equipment at a modern EfW Power Plant or heavy process environment ensuring safe, effective maintenance, and timely diagnosis, execution and repair of plant and equipment is provided throughout the plant.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week, however, we will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).

What will you be doing?
- Implementing health, safety and environmental management policies
- Integrating into a team of highly skilled technicians that also manage contract support organisations as required
- Participating in department training, development and staff appraisals
- Assisting the Maintenance Team Leader with all aspects associated with electrical/control equipment repairs
- Utilising the business computerised maintenance management system
- Performing troubleshooting, routine, preventative, scheduled and major repair maintenance on all power plant electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, IT and Digital control systems
What are we looking for?
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance/defect repair/interrogation on: DCS/SCADA, PLCs, Analogue & Digital Instrumentation and Transducers, Emissions Monitoring and other equipment related to the site
- Knowledge of power generation operations and maintenance associated with Steam turbines, boilers, balance of plant, electrical generation and distribution up to 33kV, plant control and instrumentation and computer aided Maintenance Management applications
- An ONC/City and Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in an Electrical Engineering discipline with a high level of practical Operational/Maintenance experience/knowledge (qualifications below this may be acceptable if accompanied by suitable experience)
