Closed Site Supervisor
Salary – Circa £36,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours – 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm

As a Closed Site Supervisor, you\’ll oversee and co-ordinate the safe and efficient operation of our sites, ensuring full compliance with health and safety standards, legislative requirements, and management guidelines. You\’ll also take charge of implementing and maintaining the Integrated Management Systems (IMS) for landfill sites across the Scotland region, playing a key role in upholding operational excellence.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week, however, we will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).

What will you be doing?
- In conjunction with the SBM, manage site staff and day-to-day operations
- Induct visitors to sites
- Manage sub-contractors on site
- Assist in the maintenance of IMS, SFS and H&S documentation across sites
- Carry out regular inspections of the security and management systems and take remedial action where necessary
- Promote high profile customer service practices
- Report to the Site Business Manager and/or Area Manager any breach of rules, act of dishonesty, malpractice or corruption by any member of the public, visitor to the site, or member of staff
- Protect the Companys ability to trade by ensuring compliance with relevant legislation at all times and especially that concerning health and safety in the workplace and the Duty of Care
- Deputise for the SBM or Operations Managers in their absence at management meetings and other site related activities
What are we looking for?
- Experience of keeping good records / working on management systems
- Good organisation and prioritising skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Demonstrable adaptability skills
- A full, valid driving licence as this role will involve the supervision of other sites to cover holiday or training absence at the discretion of the SBM
- Experience of pumping systems is an advantage
