Location: Bury St Edmunds Transfer Station, IP31 1FE, Suffolk
As a Transfer Station Supervisor at FCC Environment, you will supervise the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with company policies, statutory requirements, and customer expectations. You will support the Site Manager with operational control, staff supervision, plant operation, compliance, customer service, and overall site productivity. This vacancy is for a full-time position.

What will you be doing?
- Supervising day-to-day site operations to ensure safe, efficient and compliant working practices
- Managing staff, contractors, plant, equipment, paperwork and administration
- Conducting and implementing Risk Assessments, Aspects & Impacts, and SHEQ procedures
- Ensuring all staff, visitors and contractors are trained, inducted and competent
- Operating mobile plant and overseeing inspections, maintenance and records
- Managing weighbridge systems, Duty of Care compliance and accurate record keeping
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and traffic/pedestrian management
- Ensuring excellent customer service and addressing contamination or load issues
- Deputising for the Site Manager when required

- Experience in waste, logistics, transport or maintenance operations in a supervisory or team leader capacity
- Experience operating heavy plant
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
- Customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills
- Ability to plan, mentor and supervise staff and maintain high operational standards
- Computer literacy and willingness to complete required training
- Positive attitude, strong timekeeping, and good organisational skills
