Salary: Up to £28,000 depending on experience

Hours: 40 hours per week (Summer and Winter Hours)

Worthing Homes is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Painter to join our Property Services team. This role is ideal for someone who is interested in a career in painting and decorating and is keen to develop practical, hands‑on skills while working alongside experienced professionals. You will receive on‑the‑job training and support to help you build your knowledge, confidence, and capability within this trade, while contributing to the upkeep and improvement of our homes for residents.

Worthing Homes is a forward‑looking housing association dedicated to providing affordable, high‑quality homes and services to our local communities. We're a small but dynamic organisation, managing 4,000 homes serving over 10,000 residents across our range of properties from social housing to sheltered accommodation to shared ownership properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with interior and exterior painting projects
  • Prepare surfaces including cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking
  • Support experienced painters with daily tasks and site preparation
  • Gain a broader understanding of the Property Services team by supporting delivery across different roles where required
  • Maintain painting tools, materials, and equipment in a safe and tidy condition
  • Comply with company health and safety procedures at all times
