Worthing College, part of the Chichester College Group, is seeking a Technician in Visual Arts and Media. Pro rata of £26,045 - £26,141 per annum (i.e. £20,638.36 - £20,714.43). 33 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
The Visual Arts and Media Technician supports staff and students across a range of disciplines, managing equipment, preparing materials, maintaining studios, ensuring health and safety, assisting with displays and exhibitions, and providing technical support throughout their studies.
Responsibilities:- Prepare lessons and equipment, including photography, film, graphic communication, and textile areas.
- Maintain studios, learning environments, and specialist equipment.
- Support health and safety procedures and procedures for practical learning environments.
- Assist with displays, exhibitions and technical support to students.
- Support both digital and traditional photography processes, including studio, camera, lighting and darkroom facilities.
- Experience or knowledge within one or more creative disciplines such as Art, Textiles, Photography, Graphic Design, Film or Media.
- Organisational skills and ability to manage equipment and resources effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices within practical learning environments.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive and flexible approach, with willingness to learn new skills and processes.
