An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager with estate agency or property industry experience, to join a specialist property auction business covering Southampton and the surrounding area. This role is ideal for an experienced estate agent, valuer or auction professional with strong business development skills.

Working remotely with regular travel across your territory, you will generate valuation appointments, advise property owners on the benefits of selling by auction and secure new instructions. You will build relationships with homeowners, investors, developers and estate agents while identifying new opportunities, growing the auction pipeline and contributing to the continued success of a respected property auction business.

What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):

  • Generate new valuation appointments and auction instructions across Southampton and the surrounding area
  • Carry out property valuations and recommend realistic auction guide prices
  • Explain the auction process, timescales, fees and benefits to prospective sellers
  • Build strong relationships with homeowners, landlords, developers, investors, estate agents and professional introducers
  • Prospect for new business through networking, referrals, telephone activity and local market engagement
  • Work closely with the operations, marketing and auction teams to progress instructions and achieve business development targets

What our client is looking for (Skills & Experience):

  • Previous experience as an Estate Agent, Property Valuer, Listing Agent, Auction Valuer or Business Development Manager within the property sector
  • Proven ability to win instructions and convert valuation appointments into new business
  • Strong knowledge of the Southampton property market would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Commercially aware with a proactive and target-driven approach
  • Able to work independently while managing a varied workload
  • Competent using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
