We are seeking a specialised and experienced HMO Licensing Manager to oversee property compliance, licensing, and safety standards while leading a small team. The perfect candidate will ensure operational excellence within a busy lettings portfolio. Our client, a respected residential property group in Hendon, is looking for a proactive and knowledgeable HMO Licensing Manager. This position is central to maintaining compliance across their lettings portfolio, ensuring all properties meet current licensing and safety regulations. You’ll manage a small team of Property Managers and work closely with internal departments to deliver a high standard of service to landlords and tenants alike.
What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):
- Audit properties to identify and manage HMO licensing requirements
- Oversee safety checks, certificates, and remedial works
- Manage and support a team of Property Managers
- Liaise with tenants, landlords, and contractors to ensure smooth operations
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and post-work inspections
- Handle deposit returns and ensure adherence to tenancy regulations
- Manage rental arrears and resolve tenant/landlord disputes
- Instruct and oversee eviction requests when required
- Monitor team performance and conduct regular one-to-one reviews
- Maintain company compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards
