A dynamic Property Auction business is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business across the Essex property market. This is a client-facing role focused on building relationships, generating new clients and property instructions, and delivering commercial growth.

Working with Local Authorities, property companies, vendors, estate agents, developers, investors, and property professionals, you will identify new opportunities, promote the benefits of selling through a modern online auction platform, and develop long-term partnerships. Combining business development with relationship management and commercial strategy, you will play a key role in expanding market presence and contributing to the continued success of the business. Candidates who have previously worked in and have a strong understanding of the auction sector will be given preferential consideration.

What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities from vendors, estate agents, developers, investors and property professionals
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients, providing expert guidance throughout the auction sales process
  • Conduct regular external meetings, networking events and property visits across London
  • Prepare tailored proposals, negotiate instructions and maximise listing opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, monitor sales activity and produce performance reports against agreed KPIs
  • Work closely with internal teams to deliver successful marketing strategies and achieve business growth objectives

  • Previous experience in business development, property sales or estate agency
  • Strong understanding of the residential property market and client acquisition
  • Proven ability to generate new business and consistently achieve sales targets
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, with experience using CRM systems
  • Full UK driving licence with the flexibility to travel for client meetings
