Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Accounts & Finance Manager to oversee accounts, bookkeeping, compliance, and financial planning for a multi-branch estate agency: supporting leadership with reporting, forecasting, and effective financial management. Based in their Brixton Head office, this is a hands-on position where you will take responsibility for the day-to-day accounts function while supporting senior leadership with financial insight and strategy. You will work closely with the MD/CEO and external accountants to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and financial stability across the business.
Candidates with a qualification in Accounting or Bookkeeping, like ACCA or AAT, will be given preferential consideration, and previous experience of having worked in a Property Company or Estate Agency will be beneficial. This is a fully office-based role, five days per week, offering the opportunity to play a key role in the ongoing growth of the company, but, for the right person, there might be some flexibility in terms of working hours and days.
What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):
- Managing the day-to-day accounts function across the business
- Preparing and overseeing budgets and financial plans
- Producing regular financial reports for senior leadership
- Managing cash flow and financial controls
- Liaising with external accountants and financial advisors
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations
- Supporting tax planning and advising on tax matters
- Leading and coordinating audit processes
- Producing financial forecasts to support business planning
- Identifying and mitigating financial risks
What We're Looking For (Skills & Experience):
- ACCA / AAT qualified (or equivalent) is essential
- Proven experience in a senior finance role
- Property or estate agency experience preferred, but not essential
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and auditing
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
What's In It For You?
