Working directly under the Wedding & Events Senior Manager and in tandem with our Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of each event. Your mission is to maximise the potential of our unique estate sites, ensuring year-round activity and brand presence. You will be sales-focused but working in a small business, allowing you to work across multiple departments to take events from first touch through sales, to delivery and aftercare.

Key Accountabilities

  • Venue Programming & Sales: You will be the manager of the events calendar across our diverse portfolio:
    • The Woodyard: Developing corporate retreats, winter fairs, and indoor workshops during the non-wedding season (winter months).
    • The Red Brick Barn: Events / Summer pop-ups (May–September).
    • The Walled Garden (Future site): Launching a new era of outdoor dining, greenhouse events, and garden-to-table experiences.

    • Enquiry Generation: Conceptualising, drafting and maintaining marketing channels and materials in accordance with our marketing strategy. Realising marketing outcomes by:
      • Attending networking events
      • Managing digital marketing channels
      • Creating social media content
      • Obtaining and improving online reviews and ranking
      • Creating, maintaining, and leveraging customer relations for ongoing bookings
      • Leveraging other estate activities and estate partner relations to drive enquiries
    • Sales: Working with your senior manager to improve your sales journey and conversion. Fielding enquiries, hosting viewings and creating client relationships. Building a client database and observing the estate CRM policy.
    • Event Coordination: Managing logistics, supplier relationships and on-site coordination alongside the Wedding & Events team to ensure flawless client event delivery.

Additional Requirements

  • Financial Literacy: Ability to manage event budgets, track ROI, and handle basic invoicing/contracts.
  • Flexibility: As an events role, weekend and evening work will be required depending on the event schedule.
  • Logistics & Health/Safety: Ensuring all events meet safety regulations and estate protocols.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proactive Planner: You don’t wait for a task list; you see an empty barn and see endless opportunities.
  • People Person: You are as comfortable chatting with a local farmer as you are pitching to a corporate CEO.
  • Resilient & Resourceful: You can pivot quickly when the British weather decides not to cooperate with an outdoor event.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven Experience: 3+ years in Event Management or Business Development, preferably within a heritage estate or high-end venue and/or hospitality environment.
  • Commercial Track Record: Demonstrated experience in hitting sales targets, managing budgets, and understanding of KPIs.
