Worley is looking to engage a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Site Team on a project within the UK.
Responsibilities
- Shift work covering days and nights on an 8/6 rotation
- Co-operate with other work stream and operational team members to coordinate work efforts and ensure activities are sequenced correctly
- Carry out examinations under the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Scheme for the mine to ensure compliance with legislation
- Install and maintain electrical infrastructure including temporary systems as required by the project and in accordance with relevant regulations
- Safely isolate LV equipment
- Systematically fault find and repair defective equipment
- Ensure the appropriate standards of housekeeping are maintained
- Provide written reports each shift to line management detailing all work carried out with test results and follow up recommendations, recording any tests, inspections and defects
- Ensure compliance with regulations, codes and rules, company instructions, RAMS and working instructions with regard to health and safety
- Work to manufacturer’s recommendations on all equipment and systems
- Immediately rectify or stop any operation or work activity that does not comply with or is not being operated in accordance with, the applicable safe operating procedure
- Understand the environmental constraints of operating within the North York Moors National Park and operate the treatment plants in an environmentally responsible manner
- Take a supporting role in the site Health & Safety performance, including safety inspections, plant area responsibilities, take part in Health & Safety meetings and forums
- Report any Health, Safety and Environmental observations, near misses, accidents or incidents to the Superintendent or Manager
- Assist elsewhere on site as required
Required Experience, Qualifications & Certification
- NVQ Level 3 Engineering Maintenance or equivalent recognized Electrical apprenticeship
- Knowledge of Electricity at Work regulations 1989 and relevant legislation pertaining to work undertaken
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures and documentation
- Ability to understand drawings and diagrams
- Strong communication, networking, collaboration and well-developed team-working skills, especially in multi-discipline and multi-cultural teams
- Have an ‘Incident Free’ mind-set, and be a role model for the project team and contractors alike
- Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills, being able to work with the various sub-teams to resolve issues and reach decisions that are in the best interests of the integrated project team
- Demonstrate a logical systematic approach to work, show initiative, demonstrate resilience, and accept accountability
- Display a positive ethical behaviour
- A full UK driving license is required for this role
- BS7671 Wiring Regulations
- Experience in PLC’s advantageous
- A good understanding of process engineering specifically water treatment plants, oil purification and gas generators
- Experience in installation, operation, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment (switchgear, transformers, PLC’s and VFD’s)
- Evidence of Safe Isolation of electrical systems within the scope of your appointment and voltage restriction
- Experience operating Switchgear, associated infrastructure and control systems
