Vice President, Business Development
Role Context:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced sales professional to join our Outside Sales team to lead our efforts within the Chemicals and Fuels sector. As the Chemicals and Fuels Sector Lead, you will be responsible for shaping and executing sales strategies to drive chemicals and fuels sector revenue growth, foster client relationships, and expand our sector footprint. Your leadership and expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping Worley’s presence and sustainable growth in this sector.
You’ll be:
- Expected to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for the chemicals and fuels sector, aligning with Worley’s overall business and global sector growth objectives.
- Building and nurturing strong, long-lasting relationships with our customers in the chemicals and fuels industry. Identify their needs and work collaboratively to provide tailored solutions.
- Staying abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes within the chemicals and fuels sector. Use this knowledge to identify opportunities and mitigate risks across our Sales Territory.
- Achieving and exceeding sales targets by identifying and leading new strategic business opportunities, including cross-selling and upselling our services.
- Leading and motivating a team of sales professionals, providing coaching and guidance to ensure they meet their individual and team targets.
- Collaborating with legal and technical teams to negotiate and finalize contracts, ensuring that they are mutually beneficial and aligned with Worley’s standards.
- Providing regular sales forecasts, reports, and insights to senior management, enabling informed decision-making.
- Ensuring that all sales activities comply with industry regulations, Worley’s policies and processes, and ethical standards.
You’ll have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive proven track record of success in Outside Sales within the chemicals, fuels, or similar fields.
- Successful track record in executing complex sales pursuits in line with corporate sales processes.
- Deep understanding of the chemicals and fuels market, including industry dynamics, technologies, and key players.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- High proficiency in using CRM software for sales tracking, reporting and insights.
