Duration: 7 weeks with the possibility of extension

Worley is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join the team for a fixed-term contract.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our onshore team at Prax.

Key Aims and Objectives:

  • Assist in ensuring all Projects/Company HSEQ goals are achieved and where possible exceeded
  • Effective liaison with any Client and/or Sub-Contractor/Vendor Representatives
  • Implement a continuous improvement philosophy across all Mechanical activities, delivering best practices at all times
  • Provide support to the Client’s Mechanical Team

Primary Duties:

  • Execute day-to-day Mechanical Construction activities in accordance with the Project schedule, ensuring all applicable site/Projects safety procedures are fully and properly implemented
  • Demonstrate visible safety leadership by example and communication with teams
  • Actively participate in all Company and Projects safety initiatives
  • Continuously review/refer to Construction Workpacks/Drawings to ensure work scopes are being executed as planned. Escalate any issues to the Foreman
  • Act as a Performing Authority to issue Mechanical Construction activity permits – liaise with Foreman and Control of Work to ensure tasks are executed as detailed in the permit/RAMS
  • Ensure all Mechanical Construction work meets the required standards, and all drawings, specifications, inspections, certifications, and quality assurance systems are strictly followed. Assist the Projects Quality Team in completing site system test sheets and the test dossier
  • Perform tool checks to ensure all tooling is in good condition prior to use
  • Actively participate and lead toolbox talks when required
  • Liaise with site Control of Work personnel to ensure daily work permits are issued and issues resolved
  • Support other trades/disciplines as needed, or be part of an integrated multi-discipline team

Qualifications:

  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent)
  • CCNSG Safety Passport
  • Performing Authority experience
  • Preventative maintenance

Ideally, candidates will also have the following experience:

  • Experience in a similar role in Oil and Gas Projects
  • Delivery-focused with proven achievement of goals while maintaining high HSEQ standards
  • Knowledge of O&G related HSEQ safe working practices/procedures
  • Teamworking experience
  • Able to interact with Management and Client representatives at all levels
  • Knowledge of Permit to Work systems
