Responsibilities
- Digital Products & Software
- Provide end-to-end legal support for digital platforms, SaaS products, internal tools and data-driven solutions from concept through build, launch, scale and retirement.
- Advise product, engineering and commercial teams on product lifecycle governance, licensing models and go-to-market strategies.
- Draft, negotiate and advise on product terms, customer and partner agreements, distribution and reseller arrangements.
- Lead legal advice on AI product development and deployment, including risk assessment and mitigation for AI-enabled products and tools.
- Advise on global AI regulatory compliance (e.g., EU AI Act) and support governance frameworks.
- Support ethical AI use, algorithmic risk review, human-in-the-loop governance, and AI contracting including data usage and model risk allocation.
- Cyber
- Advise on global cyber regulatory frameworks and obligations, translating legal requirements into practical guidance for digital products and customer projects.
- Provide strategic legal input on Worley’s cyber risk posture in digital offerings, aligning security commitments with commercial strategy and risk appetite.
- Support standardized cyber contractual frameworks, including security schedules, incident notification obligations and risk allocation provisions.
- Partner with IT, operations and privacy teams to support incident responses, aligning contractual commitments with regulatory requirements and operational priorities.
- Digital Procurement
- Lead contract negotiations with major technology vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, ServiceNow, Salesforce, AWS, Google), driving consistency and leverage at scale.
- Collaborate with procurement, technology and commercial teams to structure deals, optimize outcomes, and manage risk across the contract lifecycle (renewals, pricing, benchmarking, exit).
Qualifications
- Experience: Senior technology lawyer (extensive PQE) with deep experience supporting software, SaaS or AI-enabled products within a product-led or technology organization.
- Commercial acumen: Strong instinct to balance risk and speed, and to make pragmatic decisions in ambiguous or fast-moving environments.
- Technology transactions: Proven experience structuring and negotiating complex technology deals (enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, platform) with a focus on commercial outcomes.
- AI & data: Hands-on experience advising on AI and data-driven products, including regulatory, contractual and ethical considerations.
- Cyber: Experience advising on cyber security in commercial and contractual contexts, including drafting security schedules and incident response coordination.
- Procurement: Experience working with procurement functions, understanding vendor strategy, pricing dynamics and contract lifecycle management.
