Worley is currently recruiting for an Instrument Pipefitter for a fixed term contract with the potential to extend long term for the right candidate. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our E&I Projects Team based on P66 Humber Refinery.
Key Aims and Objectives
- You will be expected to understand and follow process instrumentation diagrams (PID’s), instrument layout diagrams, hook-up diagrams and isometric drawings.
- Install instrumentation, valving, pipe works and supports in accordance with manufacturers specifications and good industry practice.
Duties
- Fractional and metric stainless steel, carbon steel and copper tube - cut bend & thread as required.
- Compression fittings (single and twin ferrule).
- Pneumatic components, tubing and fittings.
- Hydraulic components, tubing and fittings.
- Installation, maintenance, modification and testing of the above components will form an essential part of your role.
Role Requirements
- Prime responsibilities will include working safely in accordance with site and company rules at all times.
- Carry out all work in accordance with vocational training and associated Risk Assessment and Method Statements.
- Report all near misses, dangerous occurrences, safety observations and inappropriate behaviour of others to line management.
- Read, understand and implement all applicable company/project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the instrument piping work scope is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work pack/job card instructions, associated procedures and drawings/sketches.
- Mark up completed SoW documentation to ‘As Built’ Status.
- Undertake site-based training to become a nominated person (NP) for permit acceptance.
- Assist with compiling Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner.
Qualifications – Internal
- All candidates should hold the following Qualifications & certification:
- Current CCNSG Safety Passport
- Proof of apprenticeship (indentures etc)
- NVQ 3 or equivalent (SVQ/C&G L3/JIB)
- ECITB SBT or equivalent (TSBT01 & 02, Swagelok, Waverley Brownall)
