Worley is seeking several accomplished Senior Project Directors to lead the successful delivery of major energy projects from our London office. These strategic leadership roles will be responsible for overseeing complex, multi-disciplinary programmes across the full project lifecycle, from concept and FEED through EPC/EPCM execution, commissioning, start-up, and operational handover.
We are looking for industry-recognised leaders with extensive experience delivering large-scale capital projects within one of the following sectors:
- Upstream / Midstream / LNG, with EPC or EPCM project delivery experience. International experience, including African markets, is preferred.
- Downstream / Gas Processing / Petrochemicals, with experience delivering major capital projects. International experience, including the Middle East, is preferred.
Successful candidates will bring a proven track record of leading major projects and programmes, managing global and multi-cultural project teams, developing trusted client relationships, and delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. They will be expected to work closely with Business Development to identify, shape, and capture key opportunities, as well as with senior leadership to deliver the required business and project outcomes. They will possess strong safety, commercial, contractual, and stakeholder management expertise, together with the ability to navigate complex technical, regulatory, and delivery environments.

You’ll Do/carry Out
- Strategic Leadership
- Work closely with Business Development to identify, shape, and capture key opportunities.
- Lead the overall project delivery, defining strategic objectives, execution plans, and KPIs aligned with customer expectations and corporate governance.
- Provide senior leadership to multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, construction, procurement, and commissioning.
- Foster a strong safety culture and ensure HSE compliance across all project activities.
- Implement integrated project execution plans and drive adherence to EPCM frameworks, including best use of global delivery resources.
- Project & Stakeholder Management
- Engage with the Customer and key stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for strategic and commercial matters.
- Responsible for maximizing utilization of our world class Global Integrated Delivery Centre in India.
- Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, and budget; identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Driving the Worley EPC(M) execution model, fully utilising the fabrication and construction capabilities of the business.
- Commercial & Financial Oversight
- Maintain accountability for overall project TIC, budgets, and financial performance.
- Guide commercial decision-making, contract strategy, claims management, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure transparency and accurate reporting for senior management and the Customer.
- Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance with project delivery standards, corporate systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote lessons learned, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement across project teams.
- Lead organizational change and development to enhance delivery capability and efficiency.
You’ll Have/bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related discipline. Chartered status preferred.
- Several years’ experience in leadership of large-scale EPC/EPCM projects in energy, process, or infrastructure sectors. Upstream/Midstream/ LNG EPC and Africa experience preferred. Downstream / Gas and Petrochem – Middle East experience preferred.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary, multi-national teams.
- Experience in running a large project task force (HO >300 personnel; Site >1,000 personnel).
- Strong knowledge of EPCM frameworks and FIDIC Contracts.
- Experience in FEED, detailed design, EPC, and commissioning phases.
- Strong commercial acumen, contract negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
