Quality Control Lead
Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Welding/Quality Inspector (CSWIP 3.2 preferred) with a strong background in fabrication (pipework, steelwork, metalwork). The role requires expertise in welding inspection, testing, materials, and quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 3834-2, BS EN 1090).
You\’ll Be:
- Able to manage the team of QC Inspectors, ensuring compliance and suitable coverage for the fabrication work is in place.
- Managing a quality system certified to ISO9001, ISO 3834-2 within a fabrication / engineering workshop environment and site construction environments.
- Able to produce project specific fabrication inspection test records for the Fabrication Inspection Team prior to commencing fabrication after reviewing client specifications, DWGs and Quality Plans.
- Acting as the companies RWC (Responsible Welding Co-ordinator). Conducting review of requirements and ensuring welding procedures are in place to meet the project needs.
- Ensuring project specific final fabrication inspection test reports such as DPI Reports, PMI Reports, Hydrostatic Test Reports, Dimensional Reports and any other project specific reports are accurate and complete.
You\’ll have:
- Extensive knowledge of the fabrication (pipework, steelwork, metalwork industry)
- Experience in inspection and testing within fabrication, and welding environments.
- Experience acting as an RWC (responsible welding coordinator) in a similar fabrication environment.
- Knowledge of Quality systems. ISO9001, BS EN 1090, ISO 3034-2
- Hold an in date CSWIP 3.2 Senior welding inspector qualifications or CSWIP 3.1 welding inspector qualification with the intent to qualify as CSWIP 3.2 senior inspector.
