Role Details

Position: Principal Environmental Consultant

Location: Any UK location near a Worley office

Terms: Permanent, full-time, hybrid with travel (1-2 weeks per year)

About the Environment and Society Team

We are an established provider of environmental and social services for clients in mining, energy transition, clean energy (solar, wind, hydrogen), finance, and infrastructure sectors. Our work spans the project lifecycle and includes work across Europe, Middle East, and Africa, involving subsea marine and terrestrial environmental services.

Responsibilities

  • Identify project opportunities, pursue new business, and deliver environmental services successfully.
  • Manage large environmental management projects across EMEA.
  • Lead environmental and social due diligence efforts.
  • Build relationships with client environmental leaders and experts.
  • Collaborate with international teams to secure and deliver environmental services.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Manage planning and permitting activities, including EPR applications and EIAs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably Master’s) in Environmental Management or Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in international environmental and social impact assessments.
  • Experience with financial institutions/lenders.
  • Proven project management and report writing skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and flexibility to travel.
