Worley Consulting is currently seeking to fill the position of Practice Lead – Ports Advisory & Logistics for our Ports & Marine Service Line in the EMEA Region. Reporting to the Managing Consultant for Ports & Marine, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting in the establishment and development of the Port Advisory & Logistics business throughout the EMEA region.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop a regional centre of expertise in Port Advisory & Logistics, in particular through:
  • Business development & client growth
  • Co‑ordination and partnering with SMEs in other regions (e.g. NAM, APAC) and Service Lines (e.g. decarbonisation, logistics, offshore wind)
  • Strategic recruitment and mentoring.
  • Develop the practice area strategy together with the business leadership, based on existing Worley customers, project developers and financiers and port operators. Strategy to consider valuations, financial decisions and policy in regards to new projects, transaction advisory, feasibility studies and combined management and technical advisory solutions;
  • Manage the Practice as part of the Ports & Marine Worley Consulting business and have overall accountability for the delivery, performance, administration and operational efficiency across the Practice;
  • Deploy project management and technical guidance regarding ports strategy, technical due diligence, transaction advisory, market & cargo forecasts, cost‑benefit analysis, financial modelling, logistics modelling, terminal operations.
  • Identify new business prospects within own area and beyond own scope, through working collaboratively across Service Lines and with other Worley Consulting leaders.
  • Capitalize on existing client relationships and internal network to build a port/maritime advisory client base and project capability.
  • Qualifications
    • Preferably more than 15 years (10 years minimum) relevant experience in the Ports Industry;
    • Preferably post‑graduate studies in project finance / maritime economics (or equivalent);
    • Recognised by peers and industry as an authority in one or more areas of ports advisory and logistics;
    • Client focus, marketing and business development skills for provision of specialist port advisory services;
    • Prior experience in techno‑commercial advisory business development and project execution is considered an asset;
