Overview

To perform all required pipefitting tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high quality, consistent and competent pipefitting service in accordance with project and company requirements, standards and procedures.
  • Support the overall delivery of company goals and schedule.
  • Ensure all work scope is completed in a safe manner, with no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment.
  • Read, understand and implement all applicable company and project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring the piping/assembly work scope is completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Follow the schedule communicated by the supervisor.
  • Manufacture, installation and testing of pipes and pipe supports in accordance with drawings/specifications.
  • Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work packs / job cards, associated procedures and drawings/sketches.
  • Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team.
  • Provide timely feedback to supervisor or plant operator on ongoing status or completion of tasks.
  • Proactively seek additional tasks where time permits.
  • Sign on to applicable permit to work (PTW) to complete work scope in a controlled and safe manner.
  • Undertake appropriate risk assessments (RA) to complete work scope safely and in a controlled manner.
  • Adhere to all applicable company policies, working practices and procedures as communicated by the company from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 Pipefitter/Plumbing (or equivalent) – Desirable
  • CCNSG Safety Passport – Desirable
  • Additional desirable training: MJI10 Bolted Connection Techniques, Manual Handling, Machinery/pipework alignment and installation, Preventative maintenance
  • Experience and competencies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Demonstrated commitment to working safely at all times
  • Flexible – able to comply with company and client requirements
  • Ability to work with other team members and in a multi-cultural environment
  • Confident, able to work unsupervised and on own initiative
  • Desire to learn and develop within the role
  • Experience in development works and pressure testing is preferred
