SES, a wholly owned subsidiary of Worley, is recruiting a Mechanical Tool Technician based in our Aberdeen depot on a Permanent basis.
Job Title: Tool Technician (Mechanical)
Location: Altens, Aberdeen
Duration: Permanent
Working Hours: 40 per week (Occasional Overtime)
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: £17.90ph
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate commitment to safety through language, behaviour and actions.
- Demonstrate recognition and responsibility for the safety of colleagues and others on site.
- Promote and encourage team safety in Tool Box Talks & Risk Assessments.
- Good working knowledge and experience of pneumatic tooling.
- Carry out inspection, repair and maintenance of wide variety of Plant & Equipment including Mechanical and Hydraulic within limits of authorisation and experience.
- Report and document faults in a timely manner and to appropriate standard.
- Assist and carry out the safe loading and unloading equipment as required.
- If required, work on site or support other depots for cover.
- If working on other sites or depots, ensure all local work procedures are clearly understood at all times.
- Repair/test client-owned equipment.
- Provide backload inspection / minor repairs.
- Report any faults & repair costs found in tooling returned from clients.
- Undertake any product training required.
- Comply with the company’s environmental policy.
- Able to work under minimal supervision.
- Ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company safety plans and approved processes and in accordance with SES procedures.
- Attend daily pre-start toolbox talks and daily safety briefings.
- Active participation in safety and observation card scheme.
- Any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Technical Apprenticeship or equivalent
- Demonstrable relevant experience
Experience
- Essential
- Good working knowledge of Hydraulic and Mechanical equipment.
- Full Driving License.
Desirable
- Previous experience with Cengar, Atlas Copco, Universal Tools and Chicago Pneumatic.
- Diesel motor training & service experience.
- Enerpac training & service experience.
- Working knowledge of mechanical equipment.
