You’ll have/bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
  • Several years’ experience in project planning and controls within EPC/EPCM environments on large-scale petrochemical plants, nuclear plants, oil & gas, or relatable energy projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Primavera P6 and strong understanding of EVM and WBS structures.
  • Experience integrating multi-discipline schedules across engineering, procurement, and construction.
  • Familiarity with project controls systems and data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Proven track record supporting projects through FEED to EPC execution phases.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.

Role Purpose:

The Lead Construction Planner (Site) is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing the integrated project schedule for a Carbon Capture project, ensuring alignment across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and interface scopes. The role provides strategic planning and progress visibility to support decision-making, optimize performance, and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of project milestones in line with customer and corporate objectives.

You’ll do/carry out:

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules and progress measurement systems covering FEED, EPC, and commissioning phases.
  • Coordinate and consolidate inputs from engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning into a fully integrated master schedule.
  • Support the Project Controls Manager in schedule reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Identify and communicate schedule risks, opportunities, and recovery actions.
  • Interface with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, and Contract teams to ensure planning data reflects current project status and strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with project and corporate procedures, systems, and governance.
  • Provide schedule updates and progress reporting to senior management and the customer.
  • Develop and maintain earned value management (EVM) processes, tracking physical and cost progress against baselines.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary project reviews and support the development of resource and cost forecasts.
  • Mentor and support junior planners and ensure consistency of planning methodologies across the project.
