- Role Context

- Coordinating, leading, or supporting technically the wider group in pipeline related proposals
- You’ll Be
- Enabling data gathering and preparation of engineering studies, analysis, calculations, and helps/leads the creation of the final documentation.
- Assisting the Pipelines and Subsea Manager in authorizing work, resource planning, obtaining customer approval, and in executing the relevant scopes
- Ensuring relevant information is incorporated into equipment/material specifications, data sheets, testing requirements, and material requisitions.
Enables bid clarifications, bid evaluations, inter-discipline vendor information review and approval, and other certification activities.
- Reviews and authorizes work done by direct reports
- Applying extensive knowledge in the application of advanced theories in asset elements, including pipelines and structures.
- Seeking input from knowledgeable sources, participates in constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews, and ensures that requirements are incorporated into engineering design.
- Keeping abreast of new scientific methods and developments affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in emphasis of programs or new programs warranted by such developments.
- Presenting to a larger audience on advanced engineering findings relating them to projects being executed.
- Ability to maintain full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating scopes within several projects; bring in lessons learnt from the several scopes.
- Applying extensive experience over broad areas to ensure technical quality of work and efficiency of approach
- Managing project team(s) in unusual settings or in demanding situations.
- Well versed in discipline setup, instituting work processes, monitoring a team, producing deliverables, and project closeout.
- Participating in project execution strategy and planning knowing the discipline’s Cost, Time, and Resource requirements to execute the scope.
- Interfaces closely with existing clients
- Adept at assessing project risk during different project phases
- You’ll Have
Essential
Education
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering
- Preferred Master of Science (MSc) in Engineering or Master of Engineering (MEng)
- UK Chartership preferred
Experience
- Experienced in subsea pipeline engineering (installation and/or design)
- Familiar with and worked on Energy Transition assets
- Basic understanding of Hydrogen and CO2 pipelines and associated assets, types of flow regimes, material requirements, design criteria, and design codes/standards.
- Versatile and able to transfer skills from one specific discipline to another
- Preferably chartered or seeking chartership
- Shore approach experience
- Good working knowledge of DNV, BS, ASME, API, and ISO standards as well as other recommended practices and design codes
- An understanding of the technical issues related to high pressure, high temperature flowlines and sour service pipelines
- Familiar in Finite Element modelling and analysis
- Excellent ability to interface and work closely with other disciplines in the project team and with the client
- Ability to give advice on pipeline offshore installation
- Ability to be a technical focal point for project related pipeline design challenges
- Ability to interface with the customer or an installation contractor and provide the technical know-how in such way that improves the quality of the deliverables and schedule
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to generate and technically review reports
- Excellent people skills building effective business relationships, working in a team environment liaising with other project technical and management teams.
