Our growing Geotechnical Practice in the UK seeks talented individuals with strong technical and communication skills who are eager to develop and take the next step in their career. The UK Geotechnical Practice works closely with colleagues in UAE and our practices in Australia and North America. The nature of our projects reflects our ethos of global collaboration with active projects in UK, Africa, Asia and Europe.
We are currently recruiting candidates for geotechnical consultantpositions to be based within our Brentford, London, or Glasgow offices. These roles would typically be applicable to candidates with at least 2 years’ relevant experience up to senior level.

The roles will combine the full range of geotechnical skills from desk studies through designing site investigations, sub-contractor management and the ability to follow on with ground modelling, geotechnical interpretation, design and construction support.
Our projects encompass both onshore and offshore developments and a working knowledge of geotechnical engineering in both environments would be an advantage.
Core Responsibilities will include the following:
- Promote a culture of zero harm within the business and our projects.
- Provide geotechnical engineering knowledge on projects and pursuits, including geological site reconnaissance, geotechnical site characterization, geotechnical analysis, geotechnical design, detailing.
- Field work including supervision and management of geotechncial ground investigations
- This will include manging cub-contractors, logging of soil and rock to UK and EU standards and producing interpretative reports.
- Deliver quality technical reports and submissions.
- Support Geoscience leads in the pursuit of new business by contributing towards cost estimates and schedules.
- Shadow Geoscience team leads by following corporate, safety, sustainability, quality, business development, engineering, procedures and processes.
- Support growth of the Geoscience Service Line by contributing towards our ever expanding workload.
- Attend and participate in client meetings, and deliver client and industry facing project presentations.
- Work as part of an integrated delivery team, comprising other engineering disciplines, professional environmental scientists, project delivery and project support staff on existing and new Worley Consulting/Worley projects.
Support the development and implementation of geoscience strategies that are consistent with the divisional and regional Geoscience Service Line plans.
