Overview

Maths Teacher - Secondary School. Location: Altrincham. Start Date: September (ASAP considered). Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term. This role is with Cover People in partnership with a secondary school in Altrincham. The successful candidate will join a supportive and forward-thinking school where high standards of teaching, strong behaviour, and student achievement are valued.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and purposeful classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support attainment
  • Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school staff to promote outstanding teaching and learning

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Mathematics within a UK secondary school
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A passion for inspiring students and raising attainment in Mathematics
  • A proactive, professional, and reliable approach to teaching
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
