Are you a qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant with a passion for giving children the very best start to their education? We are working with a welcoming and nurturing primary school in Salford that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting young children through play-based learning and helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically during these crucial early years.

The Role

  • Support children within the Nursery or Reception classroom.
  • Deliver engaging learning activities alongside the class teacher.
  • Encourage children's communication, language and social development.
  • Support early phonics, literacy and numeracy activities.
  • Promote independence through child‑led and play‑based learning.
  • Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Observe children's progress and contribute to their development records.
  • Build positive relationships with children, staff and parents.

Essential Requirements

  • To be considered for this role, you must have one of the following:
    • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification
    • Level 2 or Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Early Years
    • Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning (Early Years pathway)
    • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development
    • Another full and relevant EYFS qualification recognised by the Department for Education
  • You should also have previous experience working within an EYFS setting.
