Are you a qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant with a passion for giving children the very best start to their education? We are working with a welcoming and nurturing primary school in Salford that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting young children through play-based learning and helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically during these crucial early years.
The Role
- Support children within the Nursery or Reception classroom.
- Deliver engaging learning activities alongside the class teacher.
- Encourage children's communication, language and social development.
- Support early phonics, literacy and numeracy activities.
- Promote independence through child‑led and play‑based learning.
- Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Observe children's progress and contribute to their development records.
- Build positive relationships with children, staff and parents.
Essential Requirements
- To be considered for this role, you must have one of the following:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification
- Level 2 or Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Early Years
- Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning (Early Years pathway)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development
- Another full and relevant EYFS qualification recognised by the Department for Education
- You should also have previous experience working within an EYFS setting.
