Cover People are currently recruiting for an Art & Design Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, starting immediately for the remainder of the academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Art & Design Teacher or ECT looking for a long-term, full-time position within a supportive school environment.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative Art & Design lessons across KS3 and KS4, encouraging pupils to develop their artistic skills, creativity and confidence while making a positive impact on their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Art & Design lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the school's curriculum
- Monitor, assess and track pupil progress effectively
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners
- Encourage pupils to develop their creativity, artistic techniques and confidence
- Support pupils in developing their portfolios and practical skills where appropriate
- Contribute to the wider Art & Design department and school community
- Support the academic and personal development of all learners
Requirements
- QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 & KS4 Art & Design
- Experience teaching Art & Design at secondary level
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
- A passion for Art, creativity, teaching and pupil progress
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Right to work in the UK
