The Role
- Deliver engaging and inspiring English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Adapt confidently to different school environments and teaching settings
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture that supports learning and achievement
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress where required
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour
- Encourage a love of reading, writing, and communication among students
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT)
- Experience teaching English within UK secondary schools
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A flexible, professional, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
- A genuine passion for English and student achievement
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential) or willingness to apply for a new DBS through Cover People
