About the Role

Cover People are currently recruiting for an Art & Design Teacher to join a supportive and creative secondary school in Manchester, starting from September 2026 for a full term as a minimum. This is an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers and experienced educators to inspire and engage students across KS3 and KS4. ECTs will benefit from a supportive induction and mentoring programme, while experienced teachers will have the opportunity to contribute to a thriving and collaborative department. M1-M6 Teachers will be paid to scale from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Art & Design teaching in line with national curriculum standards
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and GCSE Art & Design
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
  • Support the academic and personal development of all learners
  • Contribute positively to department planning and wider school initiatives

Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching KS3 and GCSE Art & Design
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A passion for teaching and pupil progress
  • Right to work in the UK
